Latest edition of the CMS Newsletter now available

                 CMS Newsletter

The autumn 2013 edition of the Countryside Management Service newsletter is now available to read or download - click here or on the CMS News logo above.

This edition of the newsletter has a particular focus on the following:

  • Riverside projects and the exceptional value of Hertfordshire's chalk rivers to people and wildlife.  Find out about the ongoing restoration works at both Riverside Way on the River Ver and Waterford Marsh on the River Beane, and upcoming projects for the network of river corridors at Hartham Common and the Pix Brook in Letchworth.
  • The Hertfordshire Health Walks scheme continues to go from strength to strength with the addition of a new programme of walks in Hertford, funded by the HCC Health and Well Being Board. Since its successful launch in October, the Hertford walks have been very well attended, largely due to the support of fantastic volunteer health walk leaders of which there now are over 200 across the county.
  • CMS has received the Investing in Volunteers (IIV) Award, again!  This prestigious accolade shows that the quality of volunteering with CMS meets the nationally recognised standard and demonstrates how much CMS values the enormous contribution made by volunteers.
